A few days ago, BYD officially released the official picture of the Sea Lion 05 DM-i. The new car is positioned as a compact SUV, and the power will be equipped with BYD’s fifth-generation DM technology. It is a brother model to BYD and is expected to be officially launched soon.
In terms of appearance, from the official picture, the new car adopts the design language of the warship series. The front face is equipped with a dense banner-type middle net, and the flat LED headlights on both sides are connected to it, which makes the front face rich in layers, and the air ducts on both sides are embellished with sports elements.
The side shape of the body is stretched, and the front and rear raised shoulder lines depict the movement. Combined with the rising door panel lines, it creates a dynamic body posture. With two-color double five-petal wheels, it looks young and sporty. In addition, a suspended roof design is also adopted to enhance the sense of fashion.
The rear part of the car is equipped with a through-type taillight set, with a family-style design, which is very brand-recognizable. The lower rear is surrounded by silver trim panels to enrich the layers, echoing the front face.
In terms of size, the length, width and height of the new car are 4710/1880/1720mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2712mm. In terms of power, the new car is equipped with the fifth-generation DM technology, of which the 1.5L engine has a maximum power of 74kW and the motor has a maximum power of 120kW.
