  In small and medium-sized cities, the degree of perfection of supporting facilities is an important factor affecting consumers’ willingness to purchase new energy vehicles.

  "As soon as I bought the new energy vehicle, the power supply company came to guide me to install the charging pile with my mobile phone, and the next day I completed the power connection." In mid-April, Wu Peng, who lives in Gedian Town, Ezhou City, Hubei Province, experienced a "fast service".

  In order to better serve new energy vehicle owners, State Grid Hubei Electric Power has increased its charging infrastructure building efforts and strived to improve the level of social energy efficiency in the service area. From January to March this year, 42 new charging stations and 212 charging piles were put into operation, and 174 charging piles were upgraded.

  The latest statistics from the China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Alliance show that as of the end of February, the cumulative number of charging infrastructure in the country reached 2.864 million units, an increase of 62.9% year-on-year.   At the same time, many companies are also deepening the mining and utilization of public transportation data to promote the digitization of transportation scenes. In November last year, Tencent Maps took the lead in launching the "green travel" bus portal function, realizing "one map" to connect users to the whole scene of public transportation.

It is reported that users in the digital RMB pilot areas can sign up for the activity and use shared bicycles for free through digital RMB red envelopes. The accumulated number of rides can also be exchanged for more digital RMB rewards.

  Recently, the "green semi-annual report" handed over by the pilot activity is eye-catching. Data show that the pilot activity has attracted more than 10 million users in the first half of the year, and these users have accumulated more than 70 million green cycling kilometers.

  "This pilot event is a useful attempt to promote green and low-carbon travel through the digital yuan," said Cao Heping, a professor at the School of Economics at Peking University.

  Industry experts predict that in the next step, digitalization will not only help the public achieve quantifiable carbon emission reductions, but also drive the low-carbon green transformation of the upstream and downstream industrial chains based on data and technological advantages, such as assisting in the construction of a comprehensive three-dimensional transportation network.

Evergrande Motor said in the announcement that on September 29, 2023, it received a letter from Newton Group stating that in view of Evergrande Motor’s announcement of the suspension of trading of its shares on September 28, 2023, together with a series of recent changes in China Evergrande, which in turn will also bring significant uncertainty to the share purchase agreement and the proposed transaction. According to the share purchase agreement, the completion of Evergrande Group’s workout and a series of other prerequisites are very important prerequisites for closing. In this case,Newton Group suspends its obligations under the share purchase agreement. 


Newton Group said that according to the transitional financial support agreement, due to the current situation that the preconditions under the share purchase agreement cannot be met, the preconditions for Newton (Zhejiang) Automobile to pay the second and third funds to Hengda New Energy Vehicle (Tianjin) have not been met.It is not obligated to pay the second and third tranches of funds to Hengda New Energy Vehicle (Tianjin) for the time being. 

In addition, Newton Group also hopes that Hengda Automobile will reply to clarify the following aspects:

First, the Hengda Group workout plan involved in the share purchase agreement needs to be readjusted, and there are plans to launch a new restructuring plan;

Second, China Evergrande, Evergrande Automobile, creditors and related parties are willing to renegotiate the adjustments required for the proposed transaction plan on the premise that the new restructuring plan is clear.

Third, Newton Group confirms that the letter sent to Hengda Automobile does not constitute a notice to terminate the share purchase agreement, and there is no request to terminate the share purchase agreement as of the date of issuance.

  The sun is not the center of the galaxy

  In the 17th century, Galileo pointed his telescope at the milky band of light in the sky and found that it was a dense region of stars. In the mid-18th century, the Englishman Wright proposed the Milky Way Conjecture, which believed that the Milky Way is like a flat lens, and the sun is only one of the stars in it.

  The first person to paint a portrait of the Milky Way was the Englishman William Herschel. The 18th-century astronomer built the largest telescope of his time and discovered Uranus. He also focused on the stellar world. After many years of observation, he drew a map of the structure of the Milky Way in 1785, based on the number of stars in all directions in the sky. The current widely used value is still obtained by American scientist Bohlin in 1978. For many years, people have been working to obtain more accurate and reliable results.

  There are generally three ways to measure this parameter. Usually the measurement of optical extinction is easier, and different methods mainly use different methods to measure the hydrogen column density.

  The so-called hydrogen column density is assumed to have a column with a fixed cross-sectional area in the line of sight direction, and the amount of hydrogen contained in this column is the hydrogen column density. Bohlin’s method is to estimate the hydrogen column density based on the absorption of neutral hydrogen and molecular hydrogen in the interstellar medium on the spectral lines of stars in the ultraviolet band. The other two methods are to measure the hydrogen column density according to the neutral hydrogen atom and carbon monoxide radiation, and to measure the hydrogen column density according to the absorption of the interstellar medium on the stellar spectrum in the X-ray band. However, due to the complex composition of the interstellar medium and the small and unreliable sample size, the previous measurement results are not satisfactory.

  The author’s latest work adopts the above third method, that is, the abundance of heavy elements is measured according to the absorption of the X-ray band, and then the hydrogen column density is obtained according to the proportion relationship between heavy elements and gas components. As early as the 1970s, scientists have used this method to study the structure of the Milky Way. However, due to the difficulty of data acquisition, when scientists conducted this study in the past, the sample size was only about 20 at most. In order to expand the sample size, the author’s study for the first time includes the X-ray radiation of supernova remnants, planetary nebulae, and X-ray binaries at the same time. The sample size is expanded to about 100, and the hydrogen column density and optical extinction ratio of the Milky Way are recalculated.

  The final results show that this ratio does not vary with the spatial location of the interstellar medium, and the mass ratio of gas to dust in the Milky Way obtained by this ratio is about 140. This means that there is more gas in the Milky Way than expected.

  The Milky Way is a disk with a certain thickness. The latest work also calculated the distribution of hydrogen between two kiloseconds (about 3.26 light-years) and 10 kiloseconds from the center of the galaxy. The research suggests that the disk is denser and decays faster than previously realized. This means that the disk is thinner than previously thought, but denser.
